We are offering an exciting opportunity for an astute self motivated person to join our team in the newly created position of Management Accountant.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Management Accountant role has been developed to provide key decision making support and value-add modeling to the Finance function and the broader organisation, utilizing the underlying information systems.

The role will be integral to further development of the Company’s information systems and databases, and as such, experience in/exposure to database/business systems development is highly preferred.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for tasks including:

  • Driving the Quarterly Rolling Forecast process across the business
  • KPI analysis (financial and operational)
  • Unit cost accounting and variance analysis
  • Management reporting
  • Capital expenditure planning support and modeling; project costing etc
  • Assist in database and business system development across the business

The Management Accountant will be responsible for tasks including:ther ad-hoc analytical assignments to support strategic and tactical decision making

This full time position is based at our main site of Colac; a regional city located in the fully serviced South West Victorian region– part of the rapidly growing Otway Ranges, 40 minutes to Lorne and The Great Ocean Road, 1 hour to Geelong and 2 hours to Melbourne.

In order to be considered for this role you will:

  • be a driven self starter, who is commercially astute.
  • be able to relate well and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • have experience in a processing or manufacturing environment (advantageous).
  • have proven 'runs on the board'.
  • be suitably tertiary qualified and hold, be working towards, or willing to ascertain a professional accreditation. ie. CIMA, CPA etc.
