Trainee Forklift Operator

AKD Softwoods is a successful and integrated forestry products company, growing and manufacturing quality timber products. Employing over 350 people, AKD Softwoods is well recognised for being a progressive company, employing the latest technologies. 

This position is aimed at identifying and developing our future pool of competent forklift operators. Through a structured training program, the Trainee Forklift Operator will be introduced to the function of a forklift operator role at AKD. The role will work across both a Process Employee role, while also learning the forklift operator role.

The successful applicants will have:

  • A commitment to learning
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Confidence to ask questions
  • Attention for detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good time management skills
  • No forklift licence is required for this position, however would be looked upon favourably
  • Experienced or competent forklift operators should still apply
