AKD Otway Trail Run 2024
The AKD Softwoods Otway Trail Run is a trail run and walk on Sunday, 24 March 2024 on the Old Beechy Rail Trail between Barongarook and Gellibrand in Victoria.

Nestled within the breathtaking Otway Ranges, this trail run takes you on a captivating journey along the Old Beechy Rail Trail, offering both 16km and 7km options, carefully designed to cater to a wide range of runners with diverse abilities.
This event is a celebration of accessibility, presenting a non-technical trail that extends a warm welcome to newcomers entering the world of trail running. It serves as the perfect starting point for beginners, while simultaneously providing a thrilling challenge for experienced runners seeking to put their skills to the test.

Event Highlights
🏃 The 16km Run will take you from Barongarook, guiding you downhill through delightful cool bush to Birnam Station and the first drink station at the 6.3Km mark. Conquer the hill, traverse through undulating bush, and embrace the pastoral landscape as you make your way to Kawarren.
🚶 Kawarren marks the start line for the 7Km Walk/Run, designed to suit both walkers and runners.
🏞️ Both the 16km and 7km Trail Runs culminate at the picturesque Rex Norman Park in the delightful Otways village of Gellibrand, offering a rewarding finish to your journey.
🚌 Need transportation? No worries! We’ve got you covered. Limited parking is available at Barongarook and ample parking at Kawarren, ensuring a smooth start to your day. However, we encourage you to take advantage of the convenient buses available at the start line. Why? Because after completing the run, you’ll have the opportunity to stay in Gellibrand, where a hearty meal and live music await you. It’s the perfect way to celebrate your achievement and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this charming village. So, leave the parking hassles behind, hop on the bus, and enjoy the full Otway Trail Run experience from start to finish!
